Harrison Flynn participated in the annual Hope on the Slopes at Jay Peak on Sunday, February 21st in honor of his good friend, Stefan Pierson. This is an event that Stefan wanted to do for the past few years, but his chemotherapy or leg surgeries prevent him from ever participating. Stefan and Harrison spent many days skiing at Jay; getting first tracks or skiing the glades were some of their fondest memories. February school breaks were almost always spent at Jay with many families from South Hero.
Harrison crushed his fund-raising goal and helped Jay Peak raise over $45,000 for the American Cancer Society.
Even though this year has been challenging for skiers, Sunday was an epic day with deep powder. Maybe, just maybe, Stefan had something to do with it!
